Description
Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC) is a non-profit association that pursues - as its primary purpose - the dissemination of the culture and organization of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in Italy, together with training activities in the field of CPR and rescue to the traumatized patient. It shares the objectives and collaborates with the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), of which it represents the only contact in Italy, through scientific activities, including the drafting of guidelines and participation in working groups. The activity of IRC is aimed at health workers, non-health rescue professionals but also ordinary citizens, schools and younger children, with the aim of creating an ever wider and more present rescue system.
In Italy he collaborates, developing common themes, with the most important scientific societies. To date, IRC has more than five thousand active members, involving various medical, nursing and multiple healthcare professionals. The establishment of the Register of IRC Instructors, to which numerous instructors trained according to the methodology recognized by the IRC belong, creates a further boost to the dissemination of quality training throughout the country.
The IRC application, accessible to all interested people, is structured as follows:
- Home, with news and events in evidence,
- News section, constantly updated,
- Main events section scheduled,
- Metronome, with the correct rhythm to perform heart massage,
- Log-in to the reserved area of the Members database and IRC courses.
Users registered in the database can log in with their credentials and connect their account data, allowing the application to inform the user about the expiry dates of the certificates, annual fee (for members and enrolled in the register of instructors) as well as have access to the scheduled courses calendar and a series of course database functions.
Furthermore, by enabling the reception of push notifications, users can receive notifications regarding the expiration of validity of their certificate of an IRC course, reminder of participation in a future course, annual fee renewal, events in progress.
