Schmitty’s Sale Barn is owned and operated by Kyle and Riley Schmitt. Located in Aplington, Iowa. Growing up in the “horse sale world” they acquired a passion for the business larger than what can be explained. Creating a great reputation around the country for buying and selling horses they have made countless contacts bringing both buyers and sellers to Schmitty’s making it a central hot spot to conduct business.
Schmitty’s is named after Kyle’s family’s sale barn where he grew up, in Plain, WI. What started out as snow fence for a sale ring and a hay rack for an auction block, Kyle’s Grandfather turned Plain into the biggest horse hub in the Midwest for decades.
We plan to bring back many of those good traditions and make the new Schmitty’s a place that everyone can feel welcome to either buy or sell at. We will be offering all types of horses from high end riding geldings, to fancy young colts, to your back yard pasture pet.
