Космический симулятор | Celestia позволяет исследовать нашу Вселенную в трёх измерениях.

Celestia моделирует множество различных категорий небесных тел — от планет и спутников до звёздных скоплений и галактик. Вы можете посетить любой объект в расширяемой базе данных и наблюдать его из любой точки пространства и времени. Положение и движение тел Солнечной системы рассчитывается в реальном времени.

Интерактивный планетарий | В Celestia Вы можете вести наблюдения с поверхности любого небесного тела.

Вы можете легко переместиться к любому объекту и приземлиться на его поверхности. При использовании в качестве планетария Celestia показывает точное положение небесных тел, видимых наблюдателю. С помощью горячих клавиш Вы можете включать и выключать названия и другие элементы визуализации или увеличивать и уменьшать интересующие Вас объекты — например, систему спутников Юпитера.

Каталоги Celestia могут быть легко расширены. Существует множество дополнений, содержащих новые объекты — например, кометы, звёзды, текстуры Земли и других тел Солнечной системы высокого разрешения, а также 3D модели астероидов и космические аппараты с точными траекториями. Можно найти даже вымышленные объекты из известных научно-фантастических франшиз.
