nRF Device Firmware Update は、Bluetooth Low Energy をトランスポートとして使用して nRF5 SDK ファームウェアを更新するためのモバイルアプリです。 nRF5 SDK セキュアブートローダー (v12.0.0 以降) または nRF5 SDK レガシーブートローダー (v4.3.0-11.0.0) を搭載した nRF51 または nRF52 シリーズ SoC のファームウェアを更新できます。

ファームウェアは、nRF Util (https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfutil) を使用して準備された .zip ファイル形式である必要があります。ファームウェアは、Android デバイスのローカルストレージから選択するか、ディープリンクを使用してクラウドからダウンロードできます (詳細については、https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/Android-DFU-Library/#deep-links を参照してください)。

注: アプリを使用して、nRF Connect SDK で開発されたファームウェアを更新することはできません。その場合、nRF Connect Device Manager モバイルアプリを使用する必要があります。

Version 2.2 adds the following features:
- DFU speed improved
- New settings to set device's reboot time, scan timeout and modify object execution time (prepare object delay)
